ABOUT
NORTH SHORE NEIGHBORS SAY BIENVENIDOS
WHO WE ARE
North Shore Neighbors Say Bienvenidos is a 100% volunteer, grassroots organization that seeks to support migrant families arriving in the North Shore by bus from Texas. Our goal is to mobilize North Suburban communities to come together for a coordinated response to this urgent humanitarian crisis.

As this situation continues to unfold, we have a deep commitment to not only addressing immediate needs but also building a more empathetic and connected community.
Our focus is on streamlining the myriad ongoing efforts to avoid redundancy and maximize impact, while also pushing our communities to explore more sustainable long-term solutions to help our new neighbors gain stability and plant roots. Our journey is marked by learning and networking, aimed at fostering a collaborative approach to addressing this moment in a meaningful way.
We are proud to collaborate with many partners throughout the North Shore and beyond, including civic groups, faith-based congregations, mutual aid groups, municipalities, and nonprofits.
North Shore Neighbors Say Bienvenidos is a fiscally sponsored project of Building Peaceful Bridges.
Immediate Help for
New Arrivals
Volunteers meet migrants at dropoff points in the North Shore and provide immediate needs like warm coats and clothing.
Settling In
We connect new arrivals with both temporary and permanent housing solutions. We assist with resettlement by connecting migrants to employment resources, ESL classes, local schools, and more.
Neighbors Helping Neighbors
Many existing groups, charities, and organizations are already in place to support migrants and refugees. Our goal is to streamline these efforts and maximize their impact.
